Glenorchy City Council is currently seeking passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educators (Diploma) to join our teams at our Benjafield and Berriedale Early Education & Care Services. These rewarding opportunities are ideal for professionals who are committed to enriching the lives of children aged birth to five years through high-quality education and care.

About the Role:

As an Early Childhood Educator, you’ll play a vital role in creating engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences, while ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of every child. You'll be part of a collaborative, professional team that’s making a meaningful difference in the local community.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality care with a strong focus on safety, health, and wellbeing.
Design and implement educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework V2.0 (EYLF).
Lead and contribute to team discussions on child development, using your expertise to enhance learning outcomes.
Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Maintain a clean, safe, and engaging environment that supports every child’s growth and development.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re seeking individuals who are enthusiastic, nurturing, and ready to make an impact. To be successful, you will have:

A Diploma in Early Childhood Education or be actively working towards one.
Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and EYLF V2.0.
A collaborative approach to working within a team environment.
Excellent communication skills and a deep appreciation for family engagement.
Demonstrated experience in a similar setting.
A current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People – Child Related Activity.

Days and Position Hours: Monday to Friday, part-time base hours 30 hours per week up to 38 hours per week.
