Practice Manager | Galaxy Medical Centre

Position Type: Casual
Hours: 3 days aweek
Location: Perth, WA

About the Role

Galaxy Medical Centre is a dedicated, universal bulk-billing general practice committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care. We are seeking a highly motivated, organized, and experienced Practice Manager to oversee our daily operations, lead our administrative team, and support our clinical staff.

This unique casual role offers , providing an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional looking for a high-impact role with strong work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership: Oversee day-to-day clinic operations to ensure a smooth, efficient, and welcoming environment for both patients and staff.
Team Management: Supervise, mentor, and coordinate schedules for medical receptionists and administrative staff.
Financial Oversight: Manage billing systems, day-to-day accounts, and monitor practice performance metrics, ensuring compliance with Medicare and bulk-billing incentives.
Compliance & Accreditation: Maintain strict adherence to RACGP standards, workplace health and safety (WHS), and medical practice regulations.
Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the central point of contact between Principal GPs, medical registrars, nursing staff, and external suppliers.

What We Are Looking For

Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of experience in medical practice management or senior medical administration (General Practice experience is highly regarded).
Software Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with standard Australian clinical and billing software (e.g., Best Practice, MedicalDirector).
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage a team, handle conflict professionally, and foster a supportive workplace culture.
Adaptability: Ability to manage a fast-paced environment and handle a full full-time equivalent workload within a compressed 3-day schedule.
Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS), bulk-billing workflows, and RACGP accreditation frameworks.
