About Us

We are a well-established and nurturing early learning centre dedicated to providing high-quality care and education for children. We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and motivated Centre Manager to lead our team and oversee the daily operations of our childcare service at Small friends childcare & Education.

About the Role

As the Centre Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the centre, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements while maintaining a positive, safe, and engaging environment for children, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the childcare centre
Lead, mentor, and support a team of educators and staff
Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Quality Standards (NQS), and relevant regulations
Build and maintain strong relationships with children, families, and the local community
Manage centre occupancy, enrolments, and family engagement
Monitor budgets, staffing, and operational performance
Drive continuous improvement and quality outcomes across the service
Foster a positive workplace culture focused on collaboration and professional growth
Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of all children and staff

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Previous experience in a Centre Manager, Director, or Leadership role within Early Childhood Education and Care
Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework and relevant childcare regulations
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
A passion for delivering high-quality early childhood education
Diploma or Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent approved qualification)
Current Working With Children Check
Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications
Strong administration and people management skills
