About the role

The Executive Assistant role sits within the Early Childhood Outcomes (ECO) division and is responsible for providing administrative and coordination support to the Director and management. The duties include:

Managing the Director’s diary, appointments, invitations, and stakeholder enquiries, redirecting requests as appropriate.
Preparing correspondence, reports, presentations, and other documents using Microsoft Office.
Coordinating meetings and events, including agendas, venues, catering, and minutes.
Responding to enquiries and provide high-quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Supporting SAP finance processes, including purchase orders and invoice payments, while collaborating with finance, HR, and administration teams.

About you

Strong organisational skills to coordinate multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Ability to manage various administrative tasks with attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Essential requirements of the role

A valid Working with Children Check for paid employment.
Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
