The Opportunity
Harvey Beef is seeking a Slaughter Floor Team Leader is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities of employees on the slaughter floor to ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, product quality, animal welfare and regulatory compliance. The Team Leader provides frontline leadership, supports employee development and ensures all work is performed in accordance with company procedures, customer specifications, AUS-MEAT standards, Halal requirements and relevant legislation.
The Role
Your critical role will involve:
Manage time effectively so duties are carried out in accordance with SOPs and Wis
Monitor the product line and rectify defects
Council and meet with employees when necessary
Undertake duties relating to AUS MEAT
Ensure temperature requirements and residency time parameters are met at designated times
Ensure Personal Protective Equipment is worn, and Personal Hygiene procedures are followed
Investigate immediate corrective action when there has been a Zero Tolerance detected, water temperatures are below required level, or a non-conformance sighted
Ensure manning is sufficient to maintain product safety and integrity. Adjust chain speed to manning levels
Ensure all operators are following correct procedures at all times in the processing areas
Ensure compliance to dropped meat and offal procedure
Ensure Halal and Saudi requirements are being followed
Ensure all operators are trained to their Work Instructions and assessed accordingly when placed in their position.
