The Position
Due to an internal promotion, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Front Office Manager to support the daily operation of our Front Office team. This role is pivotal to delivering refined, memorable guest experiences while leading the team and ensuring seamless hotel operations across reception and guest services.
A highly visible leadership position, this role suits a hospitality professional who leads with presence, professionalism, and a genuine passion for service excellence.
Key duties would include, but are not limited to:
- Support the leadership and daily operation of the Front Office, ensuring seamless, polished service delivery
- Lead with confidence on the floor, actively supporting guest arrivals, departures, and personalised service interactions
- Oversee VIP arrivals and service recovery, managing sensitive situations with discretion and care
- Drive service excellence by reviewing guest feedback, procedures, and front office standards
- Support team performance through coaching, training, rostering, and clear communication
- Contribute to commercial and operational outcomes through reporting, cost control, and payroll compliance
About you
- Proven experience in a Front Office leadership or supervisory role, ideally within an upscale or luxury hotel environment
- A degree or diploma in Hotel or Hospitality Management is desirable but not essential
- A refined service style with strong attention to detail and the ability to anticipate guest needs
- Confident, calm, and approachable, with a collaborative leadership style
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Organised and adaptable, with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Full availability over a rotating flexible roster, including weekends and public holidays
- Holds a current RSA, First Aid Certificate and Drivers Licence.
