About the role

We are on the hunt for multiple Plant Operators to join our team. This role will be tied to duration of our project that is based in the Gympie region and will conclude in December 2026.
Key responsibilities:

Operate and monitor plant machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to prevent breakdowns.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to coordinate operations.
- Record operational data and report any issues or malfunctions to management.
- Assist in the training of new operators and provide guidance on best practices.
- Operate excavators & other civil plant and equipment
- Undertake thorough daily inspections of plant & equipment using prestart checklists
- Undertake other site labouring tasks as required
- Work in accordance with JSEA, SWMS and site-specific quality, safety & environmental plans
- Deliver your scope of works safely, on time and with a high level of quality and client satisfaction
About You
This position would suit a candidate who possesses the following:

Minimum 3 years excavator experience
- Ability to operator GPS plant
- Bulk earthworks experience
- Capability of reading and interpreting drawings
- Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety regulations, codes and practices
- Flexibility & willingness to complete a diverse range of duties
- Construction induction white card
- Applicable plant/machine operators licence & competency
- Willingness to work remotely/regionally
- Proven experience as a plant operator or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of machinery operation and maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly.
- Valid driver's licence and relevant certifications for operating heavy machinery.
