Senior Project Engineer – Bridge & Civil Division
Location: Canberra | Project Duration: 2 Years

Take your engineering career to the next level with Freyssinet Australia on a landmark bridge strengthening project in Canberra. This is a technically complex, high-profile civil project offering hands-on experience and professional growth within a global engineering leader.

About the Role

As a Senior Project Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering bridge strengthening, bearing replacements, and structural rehabilitation works. Working alongside experienced project leaders, you’ll be involved in every stage of the project, from planning to execution and completion.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Supporting the planning and delivery of bridge strengthening and bearing replacement works
Coordinating FRP strengthening and post-tensioning operations
Managing subcontractors, suppliers, and day-to-day site activities
Upholding safety, quality, and environmental standards across all operations
Monitoring budgets, schedules, and progress, providing accurate reports to the Project Manager
Liaising with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure successful project outcomes

About You

You are an engineer with strong technical foundations and a passion for delivering high-quality civil projects. You enjoy problem-solving, collaboration, and seeing the tangible results of your work.

You will bring:

A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related discipline)
Experience in bridges, structures, or civil infrastructure projects
Knowledge of FRP works, bearing replacements, jacking, or post-tensioning (highly regarded)
Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
A strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
