Helen’s Mini Worlds brings nature inside. Our aim is to create indoor environments that are full of life with our handmade, low-maintenance terrariums. We love plants and we love people! We are a women-led tiny business, looking to expand (this is where you come in!).

The terrariums are not just made to look great but made with a wealth of knowledge to ensure they are sustainable, easy to care for and suits the consumers lifestyle and aesthetic. We are also one of the few business’ to offer closed terrariums.
Core offerings:
-Retail: sales of our handmade terrariums and products from local Australian small businesses. We believe in supporting small and handmade!
-Workshops: we offer guided terrarium making workshops. Our background in science means you are not just making a beautiful terrarium, but learning a touch of ecosystem science too.
-Build your own terrarium station: this is open anytime our store is! Jump into the therapeutic world of terrarium making. Customers can book a spot online to guarantee a space, or just walk in!
Duties:
- Delivering our terrarium workshop offerings; from kids terrariums parties to Hens parties to educational workshops.
- Workshop preparation.
- Assistance with workshop design as we expand into new workshop offerings
- Workshops are delivered both at our venue and locations around Adelaide. You must have your own car and Australian Drivers License to run workshops offsite.
Additional customer service duties when/if required in-store.
Experience:
- Workshop facilitation/public speaking.
- Experience in the creative arts or horticulture industry (desirable).
- Experience working with children (desirable).
Must have a current Working With Children Check (WWCC) or be willing to obtain one prior to starting.
Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Public speaking skills
- Initiative and ability to work by yourself, as you will generally be running workshops on your own
- Customer-oriented attitude
- Friendly, positive attitude
- Physical stamina (you will be on your feet for most of the shift and it will involve lifting)
Availability:
Workshops will run primarily on Saturdays, Sundays, Friday nights and school holidays, and sometimes on weekdays. Please send your availability with your application.
Shifts: Allocated as needed when we have workshops (typically 1-2 workshops per week but this will increase with the position. Sometimes we have weeks with 3-4 workshops and sometimes there are weeks with none).
