The Opportunity

As a General Hand you will ensure Carrington’s grounds, buildings, and equipment are maintained to a high standard, creating a safe, clean, and aesthetically pleasing environment for residents, visitors and staff. We currently have a full time opportunity. As part of the Maintenance team, you will support facilities maintenance across the whole Carrington Campus, including:

Responsibilities:

Gardening - including hedging, landscape maintenance & seasonal projects.
Maintenance – carry out basic scheduled or reactive maintenance & repairs of buildings, plant & roads
Logistics – support waste & linen services, gardening team, and removalist activities for residents & business needs
Driving – buggies, bus, towing trailers & ensuring vehicles are maintained to a high standard of presentation.

About You

Essential Criteria:

Similar experience providing property/building services &/or grounds maintenance.

Take pride in your work & willingness to be hands-on

Commitment to excellent customer service

Demonstrated ability to work in a team & independently.

Understanding of safety and effective work practices.

Functional verbal & written communication

Current NSW driver’s license

Right to work in Australia

Completion of a pre-employment assessment and a National Criminal History check clearance to be completed during recruitment

Desirable:

Horticultural/Landscaping experience
Current First Aid Certificate
Light rigid driver's licence or higher preferred
