Central Coast Local Health District is seeking an experienced and inspiring nursing and midwifery leader to step into the pivotal role of Chief Nursing and Midwifery Information Officer (CNMIO). This senior leadership position sits at the intersection of clinical practice and digital innovation, offering a unique opportunity to shape the future of healthcare delivery across the District. What you'll be doing
The Chief Nursing and Midwifery Information Officer (CNMIO) is a senior transformational nursing and midwifery leader supporting the nursing and midwifery workforce in the development and implementation of DHS strategy. The CNMIO champions standards and interoperability, incorporates informatics education programs and participates in development of the clinical systems strategy with other members of the CCLHD Leadership team.
The CNMIO, sits within the Digital Health Services of CCLHD, provides leadership within DHS to drive clinical analytics that inform and improve training, decision support, clinical workflow and clinical outcomes that assist in optimisation of the user interface of clinical systems for nurses, physicians and other multidisciplinary care providers.
Working collaboratively with Digital health Services (DHS) and nursing and midwifery leaders the CINMO provides clinical leadership to clinical staff across CCLHD in relation to clinical informatics with a particular emphasis
on developing nursing and midwifery engagement and is responsible for providing both strategic direction and operational leadership in the planning, implementation, and optimisation of digital health systems that
support safe, high-quality, and efficient care delivery.
Collaboratively the CINMO will also drive workforce development and research capacity in clinical informatics as well as developing, implementing and evaluating a clinical and nursing engagement strategy in relation to clinical informatics and the electronic Singel Digit Patient record (SDPR) The CINMO will engagement in strategic direction and participate in national, state and local dialogue on digital healthcare.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Current registration with AHPRA as a registered nurse or midwife with recent and extensive senior management experience.
- Relevant post graduate tertiary qualifications in a health-related field (e.g. digital health and /or clinical, heath administration, management), proven knowledge and experience in Digital Health, in particular clinical informatics and clinical information management systems.
- Proven leadership and management skills and demonstrated ability to coach, lead, performance manage and support nurses and midwives to supporting the nursing and midwifery workforce in the development and implementation of DHS strategy
- Experience in the successful implementation of large digital health projects in complex healthcare environments, including the transition to business as usual, with ongoing evaluation and optimisation of digital health systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of principles and processes of change management, issues involving organisation change and an ability to forge partnerships at a senior level both internal and external to the organisation
