All very valid questions … let us answer these for you.
Who We Are — Living Strength Care
The Managing Director, Barbara Luka, is an accomplished Occupational Therapist with over 20 years of industry experience and a deep passion for people and purpose. Since 2007, Living Strength Care has grown into a highly respected allied health provider across Sydney, the Central Coast, and the Hunter Region, with exciting imminent expansion into Penrith and the Blue Mountains region.
Barbara's vision was simple — to build a practice that's clinically excellent and deeply human. We focus on quality, not quotas, and have built a team culture that empowers professionals to do their best work in a genuinely supportive environment.
We support a diverse community of people living with disability, aged care needs, psychosocial challenges, and complex presentations, delivering services funded by Aged Care, NDIS, DVA, and private arrangements.
What Will You Do? — The Role of the Occupational Therapist
Whether you are new to the profession or bringing years of experience, you will be supported and challenged in equal measure. You will join a multidisciplinary team (including a team of OTs across our locations, Positive Behaviour Support, the Shared Services team, and more) delivering person-centred, goal-directed therapy across home, community, and clinic settings.
As an OT with us, you will:
- Conduct functional assessments, ADL evaluations, and sensory profiles
- Design and implement therapy programs that foster independence and participation
- Recommend assistive technology, environmental modifications, and skill-building strategies
- Collaborate with families, support coordinators, and care teams
- Work across varied age groups and support needs, including complex disability and mental health
- Document effectively and deliver services aligned with NDIS Practice Standards
- (For Senior OTs) Provide mentoring and help develop junior team members
You will work locally within 25 km of your home and have the flexibility to manage admin and non-client time remotely.
Why Would You Choose Us?
We understand that Occupational Therapists are looking for more than just a job — you're looking for purpose, professional development, and a place where your voice matters.
Here is what makes Living Strength Care different:
