About the Opportunity
Join our Security team at Gosford Hospital and play a vital role in maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and staff across one of the Central Coast's largest healthcare facilities.
In this role you will:

Provide a prompt and professional security response to incidents, emergencies and requests for assistance across the hospital campus and satellite sites.

Monitor and control access to hospital buildings and grounds, ensuring compliance with security policies and procedures.

Respond to aggressive or challenging behaviours, supporting staff, patients and visitors using established safety protocols and conflict resolution techniques.

Conduct routine patrols, alarm testing and security equipment checks to help protect people, property and assets.

Complete incident reports, daily logs and other administrative documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Work collaboratively with clinical teams, facility managers and emergency services to support a safe and secure healthcare environment.

About You
We are seeking a reliable and professional security officer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, remains calm under pressure, and is committed to delivering exceptional customer service while helping to maintain a safe and secure healthcare setting.
We are looking for someone who has:

A current NSW Class 1A Security Licence, First Aid Certificate and valid Australian Driver Licence.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to confidently interact with patients, visitors, staff and emergency services personnel from diverse backgrounds.

Demonstrated experience in security operations, including access control, alarm monitoring and incident response.

Proven conflict resolution, negotiation and de-escalation skills, with the ability to respond effectively to challenging situations in a professional manner.

Sound computer literacy and the ability to accurately complete reports, maintain records and communicate relevant information.

A commitment to teamwork, customer service and the NSW Health values of respect, collaboration, accountability and patient-centred care.
