Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Associate General Dentist to join our growing team initially for 2 to 3 days per week, with a clear vision and opportunity to expand into a full-time role. The specific working days can be worked out to suit both parties, with highly appealing options for weekend work to capture the local demographic and help you rapidly build your caseload.
To be successful in this role, previous experience working in a private practice setting is preferred. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in all aspects of comprehensive general dentistry and genuinely dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. We are looking for a clinician who possesses excellent communication skills, a high level of attention to detail, and a strong patient-focused mindset.
While not a strict requirement, candidates with experience or a special interest in Orthodontics and/or Endodontics will be highly regarded, as we love to support our clinicians in utilising and expanding their clinical passions in-house.
Key Responsibilities
- Comprehensive General Care: Deliver high-quality general, preventative, and restorative dentistry to patients of all ages, maintaining a gentle, empathetic, and patient-focused approach.
- Practice Growth & Book Building: Actively engage in patient retention, utilising flexible or after-hours appointment availability to build and maintain a busy, dedicated clinical book.
- Clear Communication: Educate patients on their oral health, clearly explaining treatment plans and options to build long-term trust, rapport, and high treatment acceptance.
- Meticulous Clinical Standards: Demonstrate strong attention to detail in all clinical procedures, treatment planning, and digital record-keeping.
- Digital Workflows: Utilize our advanced in-house technology, including a CBCT scanner and Intraoral Scanner, for precise diagnostics and treatment planning.
- Work Collaboratively: Partner with our close-knit dental assisting, reception, and hygiene team to ensure smooth day-to-day clinic operations and an exceptional patient experience.
Qualifications & Skills
- Private Practice Experience: Proven experience working within an Australian private practice environment is required (2+ years preferred).
- AHPRA Registration: Current, unrestricted registration as a Dentist in Australia.
- Interpersonal Excellence: Outstanding communication skills with a proven track record of retaining patients and growing a caseload.
- Detail-Oriented: Exceptional clinical precision and thoroughness in comprehensive treatment planning.
- Advanced Skills (Bonus): Experience or continuing education in Orthodontics and/or Endodontics is a strong plus, but not essential.
