The Opportunity
Modern dairy operations rely heavily on machinery, infrastructure and technology. Our Diesel Mechanics play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of agricultural machinery and heavy vehicles critical to daily farm operations.
This full-time position is available for both Qualified Mechanics or 2nd, 3rd or 4th year Apprentice Heavy Vehicle Mechanic. This opportunity will see you working in a modern purpose-built workshop, across a modern well-maintained fleet of machinery. This position requires strong diagnostic skills, a proactive approach to preventative maintenance, and the ability to respond efficiently to breakdowns while upholding high standards of safety and compliance.
You will develop a wide range of mechanical skills, learn to diagnose and problem solve under the guidance of a supportive team. You will be encouraged to complete HR/HC licensing, Front-End Loader, Skid Steer, Forklift and EWP ticketing and other training as required.
Key responsibilities include:
Service and repair agricultural machinery and heavy vehicles
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
Conducting preventative maintenance to minimise downtime
Maintain fixed plant and water infrastructure systems
Participate in a structured on-call roster for breakdown response
Complete service documentation and compliance records
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop environment

The successful applicant will demonstrate:
Trade qualification in Heavy Vehicle, Plant or Agricultural Mechanics (or working towards qualification)
Experience servicing heavy vehicles and agricultural equipment
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to work effectively within a small team
Strong commitment to WHS standards
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
