Site Services Technician - Leading Hand

About our role

Northern Star has a rewarding opportunity for a Site Services Leading Hand to be a part of a dynamic workplace at our Thunderbox Operations. Reporting to the Site Services Supervisor, this position will be on a family friendly 8 days on 6 days off roster, FIFO from Perth.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Leading your team to achieve organisational goals
HDPE pipeline repair and installation.
IT, skid steer and excavator operation
Fuelling of Bore fields generators.
Open pit Dewatering.
Maintaining current site Infrastructure
Heavy involvement in on/offsite projects.
Bore field operating experience.
Monitor and maintain water supply to RAW water dams and mining turkey's nest.

Required skills and experience may include:

HPDE Welding ticket.
Experience with operating Cat/Volvo IT loaders.
Experience with McElroy and Dixon Welders.
Dogman ticket.
Working at heights ticket.
C class drivers licence.
Able to service and maintain bore pumps and infrastructure.
Good leadership skills
