Tax Accountant

Q & T PREMIUM Pty Ltd is seeking a motivated and experienced Tax Accountant to join our professional accounting practice on a full-time basis.

About Us

Q & T PREMIUM Pty Ltd is a growing Australian accounting practice specialising in taxation, accounting and business advisory services. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality professional services and building long-term relationships with our clients.

About the Role

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing taxation and accounting services to a diverse client portfolio while ensuring compliance with Australian taxation legislation and accounting standards.

Key responsibilities include:

· Preparing and reviewing financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships.

· Providing taxation advice in accordance with Australian taxation legislation.

· Analysing clients' financial information and identifying taxation implications.

· Assisting clients with income tax, CGT, FBT, GST and PAYG obligations.

· Preparing BAS, IAS and other taxation compliance documents.

· Conducting tax research and applying relevant Australian taxation legislation and ATO rulings.

· Providing financial and taxation advice on business structures, taxation planning and business operations.

· Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) on behalf of clients.

· Maintaining accurate accounting records and ensuring compliance with legislative and professional requirements.

· Working collaboratively with the accounting team to deliver high-quality client outcomes.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

A bachelor's degree or higher qualification in accounting or a closely related field;
A strong understanding of Australian taxation law and taxation compliance requirements;
Sound knowledge of Australian accounting standards and taxation legislation;
Experience preparing Individual, Company, Trust and Partnership tax returns;
Experience preparing financial statements and BAS;
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Experience using Xero, MYOB and Microsoft Office (preferred);
High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills;
The ability to work independently while managing multiple client deadlines;
A professional, ethical and client-focused approach.
