About the role
We're looking for an energetic and hands-on Assistant Venue Manager to help lead our vibrant entertainment & hospitality venue, where bowling, mini golf, arcade games, delicious food, and unforgettable experiences come together. You will play a key role in delivering outstanding guest experiences, inspiring and developing the team, driving events and promotions, and strengthening connections within the local community. Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Guest Experience
- Champion a guest-first culture across the floor, ensuring every visit is seamless and fun
- Confidently manage and resolve guest concerns, turning challenges into positive experiences through proactive and professional problem-solving.
- Monitor service standards during peak periods, providing support, direction, and real time coaching to team members.
- Continuously identify opportunities to enhance the guest journey and drive repeat visitation through memorable experiences and outstanding service.
Team Leadership
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of staff
- Lead shifts, managing rosters, break coverage, and floor operations
- Motivate and develop team members through regular feedback and recognition
Events Coordination / Local Area Marketing
- Create and coordinate engaging in venue events, and community activations
- Develop and execute local area marketing initiative to increase venue traffic and brand awareness.
- Liaise with clients from enquiry through to post-event follow-up
- Coordinate with kitchen, bar, and technical teams to deliver flawless events
- Drive marketing initiatives-partnerships with local businesses, schools, sports clubs, and community groups
- Support social media content and in-venue promotions
- Track campaign performance and contribute ideas for new activations
Operations & Compliance
- Support the day-to-day operation of the venue, ensuring all attractions including bowling lanes, arcade games, and guest areas are maintained to a high operational standard
- Monitor venue standards and ensure all operational procedures, company policies, and brand expectations are consistently followed
- Stock management for F&B, arcade inventory
- Monitoring stock control, inventory management and ordering
- Ensure procedures and policies are adhered to
- Ensure venue compliance with health, safety, and liquor licensing requirements
- Support daily reconciliation, reporting, and opening/closing procedures
