Welcome to Upper Coomera State College (UCSC). As a Prep to Year 12 campus, we cater for all children from ages 5 to 17 and offer every opportunity for each student to experience an individual learning pathway. Your opportunity

As the Deputy Principal, you will:

Improve the educational outcomes of students in their schools
Develop the quality of teaching and learning
Nurture positive relationships between students, teachers, the community and stakeholders.

The Deputy Principal reports to the school Principal.

The key focus areas of the Deputy Principal (Junior Secondary) role include:

Strong curriculum leader with deep curriculum knowledge and the capacity to lead Heads of Department in driving excellence in teaching and learning.
Highly effective instructional leader with the ability to coach and develop staff to deliver consistent, high-quality teaching practices.
Demonstrated success in building strong partnerships with feeder primary schools, families, and the wider community to support successful Junior Secondary transition and engagement.
Highly skilled in analysing and using a wide range of data sets to drive evidence-based improvement and enhance student outcomes.
Proven ability to foster a high-expectations culture that promotes learning, wellbeing, and success for every student.
Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
Deputise for the Principal when required.
Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
Set high standards for student and staff performance.
Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
Form partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry and business.
Be futures oriented and strategic.
Understand the legislation and policies that impact on schooling.
Manage resources to achieve goals.
