About the opportunity

As our Retail Postage Sorter, you’ll play an important part in keeping millions of Australians connected. As you’d expect, plenty of mail comes through our Post Offices and delivery facilities every day – and our mail sorting teams make sure every delivery gets where it needs to.

Role Details

These relief casual roles (2 positions available) commence on a pay rate of $34.45/ hour for approx. 3 months, increasing to $36.83/ hour + 12% Superannuation. (Junior rates apply to those under 21 during training).
Extensive, supportive (paid) training on commencement, Monday - Friday, for up to 8 weeks, approx. 3 - 4 hours / day on a rotating roster
Becomes “on call” after training, shifts may be scheduled in advanced, or you may be called in at short notice
This is a relief position, shifts will be rostered at Burleigh, Coolangatta, Gold Coast Business Centre, Helensvale, Nerang, Pacific Fair, Q supercentre, Robina, Runaway Bay, Southport, Surfers Paradise, Pimpama and Broadbeach, please consider travel when applying
You will need to be fully available, Monday - Friday, between 5 am - 5.06 pm, no minimum hours guaranteed

You’ll be

Manually sorting all mail arriving at the workplace.
Sorting and distributing mail into relevant PO Boxes.
Assisting and/or performing administrative duties such as stocktaking and record maintenance.

About you

You’re friendly, enthusiastic and reliable and you love the balance of working in a team environment and autonomously.
You’re motivated by the opportunity to help make a difference to your community.
Call upon your memory and hand-eye coordination while sorting.
Be fit to lift up to 16kgs of mail regularly and stand for your shift.
