Mechanical Engineer
Due to increasing demand for our services, MESC Engineering is seeking two mechanical Engineers - a recent Mechanical Engineering graduate and a third to fourth year Mechanical Engineering student looking to get their supervised hours under an Electrical and Mechanical RPEQ.

MESC Engineering was started in 2019 and is a Sunshine Coast based, Australian owned, mechanical and electrical engineering consultancy. We specialise in intelligent transport systems, pump system design, design of industrial structures, plant automation and design verification.

We are seeking talented and motivated engineers with an interest in solid mechanics. This will be applied anywhere across machines parts to large structures. The ideal candidates will be a fast, proactive learners. They will understand the importance of meeting deadlines and providing a value for money service to our clients. The Junior Mechanical Engineers will provide support on a wide variety of small projects involving the design/inspection/verification of any of the following: tunnels, bridges, pumps, fans, grain mills, quarries, vehicle hoists, silos, conveyors, custom special purpose machines. We are looking to fill a part-time Junior/ Graduate position and a casual student engineer position will initially, with a view to becoming full time.
What we do
- Design of industrial structures e.g. grain mills
- Design of silos, bins, hoppers
- Application of Design Registration of plant e.g. vehicle hoists, pressure vessels
- Electrical equipment in hazardous areas
- Process automation.
Responsibilities
- First principles calculations
- 3D modelling
- Finite element analysis
About you
- GPA above 6.0
- Own transport and laptop
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to multi-task, organise and prioritise work.
- Must be an Australian Permanent Resident or have full working rights in Australia.
- Prior experience using Strand7 and Inventor is desirable but not essential.
