Full Job Description

Purcell’s Engineering is a Gladstone based, locally owned and operated business providing mechanical, machining and onsite services to the region since 1996. Purcell’s prides itself on the provision of quality products and services, without compromising on quality or professionalism.

As one of our onsite machinists/Lineborer’s you play a critical role in our business, by providing a strong professional service to our valued customers throughout Australia. The role will require you to travel Australia, machining some of the largest mining equipment in the industry while maintaining fit for work & inductions.

The ideal candidate would be self-motivated, time efficient, co-operative and a team player.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS WILL HAVE:

Previous lineboring / Onsite machining experience
Trade Certificate
Current Coal Board Medical
Current Standard 11 (beneficial)
Current BMA Core Induction (beneficial)
Current Driver’s license (MR license beneficial)
Maintain fit for work – pass regular drug & alcohol tests
Working at Heights & Enter Confined Space
Ability to meet challenging deadlines
Willingness to learn how to operate some of the biggest field machining equipment known to man. Our dragline tubmill can machine over 25mtrs diameter!
