TRUCK/HEAVY VEHICLE MECHANICS/FITTERS - BDSA

BDS Mechanical is seeking qualified Truck & Diesel Mechanics and experienced Fitters to join our Chinchilla, Miles or Roma team on a full-time, permanent basis. BDS Mechanical Repairs Aus is a leading provider of mechanical, auto-electrical, and welding services throughout Queensland and Western Australia. With a fleet of more than 160 mobile service units, we provide dependable on-site and workshop solutions across an extensive service area of more than 600,000 km².

The successful candidates will possess the following:

Relevant trade qualification
Diagnostic experience
Strong fault-finding skills
Experience with trucks and trailers
Heavy earthmoving experience (advantageous)
Good communication skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Additional skills, experience, tickets, and licences will be highly regarded

Your duties will include:

Diesel engine diagnostics & repair, major and minor rebuilds
General Repairs/maintenance works – Trucks & Trailers/4×4’s
Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems
Checking vehicle lighting systems
Test driving vehicles to gauge performance
Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles
Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist
