Full Job Description

Chef / Cook – Café

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef/Cook to join our upcoming dine-in café team in Gladstone.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook menu items to a high standard
Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation, and portion control
Assist with menu development and daily specials
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen
Monitor food stock levels and assist with ordering
Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace health & safety standards
Work effectively under pressure during busy service periods
Collaborate with front-of-house and kitchen team members

Requirements:

Minimum 6 months experience as a Cook or Chef
Strong knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Food Safety Certificate preferred
