Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Clinical Nurse Consultant (Women’s Health Clinic) to join our growing team on a full time (1.0EFT) fixed term for 12 months.
The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) – Women’s Health Clinic provides advanced clinical nursing care and leadership within the Women’s Health Service, supporting women across Gippsland through specialist assessment, care coordination and service development. The role works collaboratively with gynaecology specialists, allied health professionals and outpatient teams to improve access to care, optimise patient flow and enhance service delivery.
Working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, the CNC delivers comprehensive nursing assessment and women’s health care while contributing to education, quality improvement, leadership and the ongoing development of outpatient women’s health services.

The role of the Clinical Nurse Consultant (Women’s Health Clinic) is to:
- Provide advanced clinical assessment, care planning and management for women presenting to outpatient women’s health clinics, including interpretation of diagnostic results and evaluation of treatment outcomes.
- Collaborate with gynaecology specialists, allied health clinicians and community providers to deliver coordinated, patient‑centred care and optimise service access.
- Support workforce development through education, mentoring and promotion of evidence‑based practice within women’s health services.
- Provide clinical leadership by contributing to service improvement initiatives, policy development, governance activities and achievement of operational objectives.
- Monitor clinical outcomes, performance indicators and service data to support continuous quality improvement and risk management.
- Participate in research, quality activities and change initiatives that enhance women’s health care and service delivery across the region.
About you
Ideal candidates for this role will have:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA, together with a Working With Children Check, Police Check and Victorian Driver Licence.
- Advanced autonomous clinical practice and decision‑making skills within a women’s health or gynaecology setting.
- Demonstrated clinical knowledge and experience in women’s health, including assessment, care coordination and service delivery.
- Strong leadership capability, with experience supporting quality improvement, service development and workforce capability.
- Knowledge of community resources and the ability to build effective partnerships that support integrated women’s health care.
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications in Women’s Health, evidence of recent professional development, or current study in a women’s health specialty (desirable).
