Full Job Description

The opportunity

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician to join our Port Operations team based at the Geraldton Karara Export Terminal.

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring all operational requirements are met to site standards of efficiency, quality and safety.

This role operates on a Sportsman style 2 days, 2 nights on 5 days off / 2 days, 3 nights on 4 days off / 3 days, 2 nights on 5 days off roster.

To be successful in the role, the following is essential:

Electrical Trade Qualification (A Grade Electrical Licence)
HV Switching and/or Instrumentation qualification (Desirable)
PLC and SCADA experience, preferably with Allen Bradley and GE packages (Desirable)
WA 'C' class Drivers Licence
WA High Risk Work Licences (DG Dogging/RB Basic Rigging/WP Elevated Work Platform)
Proven knowledge, experience, and understanding of process plant equipment, along with demonstrated experience working with standard fixed plant policies and procedures
Strong familiarity with scheduled maintenance systems and work order processes
Ability to conduct problem-solving investigations and reviews effectively
Capability to plan work activities aligned with operational requirements
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant computer programs
Australian Citizenship or hold a valid visa with permission to work
National Police clearance is required to obtain MSIC

To be eligible to apply for this role you must be residing in the Geraldton area or be prepared to relocate at own cost.

Complete scheduled and unscheduled work tasks
Perform work according to manufacturer standards and quality
Identify, report, and communicate workplace issues and risks
Share technical knowledge with the teamImprove maintenance procedures
Support a culture of continuous improvement
Engage in skill development activities
Attend relevant training sessions
Contribute to continuous improvement projects
Mentor apprentices, contractors, and team members
Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders at Karara

About Karara Export Terminal

Enabling movement to the Karara Export Terminal at the Port of Geraldton, Karara owns and operates an 80 km railway linking Tilley Junction to the mine site in the Shire of Perenjori. The terminal is capable of processing up to 16 million tonnes of export products annually from a dedicated berth, with supporting rail and train unloading infrastructure.
