The Ward Clerk is responsible for the delivery of consumer-focussed administrative support; ensuring equity of access throughout the resident’s journey in the facility and to assist the multidisciplinary team by providing efficient clerical support to achieve the desired outcomes.
- Provide confidential and accurate reception and clerical support, ensuring professional, consumer-focused customer service.
- Manage administrative tasks including data entry, filing, iPMS/BEIMS updates, mail processing, and office supplies.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and compliance with Barwon Health policies, documentation standards, and reporting requirements.
- Communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, escalating and resolving issues to support efficient service delivery.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, consumer-focused environment, with previous administrative or clerical experience.
- Strong computer literacy with the ability to quickly learn specialised health systems and software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities.
- High attention to detail with strong record-keeping skills and flexibility to work rostered shifts as required.
