Ready to stretch your technical leadership and make a real impact? This is an exciting development opportunity to broaden your operational experience by taking on senior leadership responsibility for both the Northern, and newly commissioned Portarlington Water Treatment Plants in a complex, safety-critical environment where your contribution matters.
This role offers a practical opportunity to grow your technical capability while stepping into a senior plant leadership role. You’ll build on your significant understanding of treatment processes, plant performance and compliance obligations by leaning into people coordination and day-to-day operational decisions to deliver safe, reliable water and sewerage services.
You’ll be supported to grow in a safety-critical environment, strengthen your technical judgement and develop the leadership confidence needed to coordinate work, support operators and contribute to continuous improvement.
With exposure to renewals, commissioning activities, contractor coordination and key stakeholder relationships, this role will help draw on your technical skillset, strengthen your networks and support your future career pathway at Barwon Water.
As the senior leader for the plant, the Treatment Coordinator provides the opportunity to lead people, influence SQE performance, support process management, guide renewals and commissioning activity, and coordinate contractors and stakeholders. You’ll coach and support operators, contribute to continuous improvement, and play an important role in delivering safe, reliable and efficient water services for our community.
You’ll help lead day-to-day treatment operations with a strong focus on safety, quality, environmental performance and reliable plant outcomes. As the key leader on site, you’ll work closely with operators, contractors and internal teams to support process performance, contribute to commissioning and renewals activities, and help maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Viva Refinery.
This exciting role will see you apply your engineering qualifications in an operational setting that will add value in the community. If you’re an operations professional ready to broaden your capability by taking on senior responsibility, this is an opportunity for you.
This is a 6-month role to cover parental leave until December 2026 and successful applicants will be required to undertake a pre-employment health check prior to commencing.
