Fulton Hogan's Southern Region Infrastructure Services team is currently expanding and we are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join us in our Geelong office.
About the Role:
Working as part of a broader finance team, the Assistant Account will be tasked with ensuring the consistent delivery of transactional and analytical reporting requirements to support the business operations.
Responsibilities will include:
- Journal processing (JE adjustments, JF accruals)
- Stock reconciliation, including variance commentary.
- General assistance with operations in interpreting financial data
- P&L and job variance analysis and commentary
- Compilation of job and P&L performance commentary
- Participating in and supporting the upgrading of existing and rolling out of new systems
How you will connect to the role:
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent.
- Commenced CA/CPA or wishing to commence
- At least 2 years of demonstrated experience working in an accounting role. Experience in the infrastructure or construction industry is highly regarded but not essential.
- Intermediates excel skills, with the ability to perform detailed and insightful analysis
- Clear communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
- Problem solving skills, whilst showing initiative with workload
