Civil Engineering Draftsperson

Fraser-Lever Pty Ltd

From $85,000 - $95,000 a year + Superannuation

Permanent, Full-time (40hrs per week)

Location: Yeerongpilly QLD 4105

Fraser-Lever is a Queensland-based multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy specializing in mining, infrastructure, and industrial projects across Australia and Papua New Guinea.

The company provides engineering, drafting, design, and project management services across civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and mining disciplines. Fraser-Lever is committed to delivering practical and innovative engineering solutions while supporting high-quality project outcomes across the resources and infrastructure sectors.

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated Civil Engineering Draftsperson to join our team.

Responsibilities

Prepares detailed drawings and plans for civil engineering work in support of Civil Engineering Professionals and Engineering Technologists. Registration or licensing may be required.

Duties

Preparing sketches, charts, tabulations, plans and designs for civil engineering works such as drainage, water supply, sewerage reticulation systems, roads, airports, dams, bridges and other structures
Performing and directing fieldwork and laboratory testing
Interpreting work assignment instructions, applying appropriate procedures and selecting equipment
Collecting and analysing data, and carrying out computations
Estimating material costs and ensuring finished works are within specifications, regulations and contract provisions
Inspecting civil engineering works, and organising and supervising maintenance and repair work
Conducting field and laboratory tests of construction materials and soils, and collecting data for traffic surveys

Qualifications

AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2)

Experience

At least three years of relevant experience

Skills and Attributes

Strong understanding of civil engineering drafting practices and construction methodologies
Proficient in preparing technical drawings and using relevant design software
Good analytical, communication, and teamwork skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
