We're seeking a motivated Finance Business Partner to join our team on a part-time basis (3 days per week). This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant or finance professional who enjoys working with people, analysing data, and helping the business make informed decisions.
Whether you're already in a business partnering role or looking to transition from a financial accounting or management accounting background, we'd love to hear from you.
In this role, you'll support our Australian operations and our Utah site, working closely with operational and commercial teams to provide financial insights, reporting, and analysis that help drive business performance.
What You'll Be Doing
Reporting & Analysis
Prepare month-end reporting and management accounts.
Produce regular sales, commercial and operational reports.
Monitor inventory, sales performance and credit control.
Develop and maintain reporting within Tagetik (training provided if required).
Complete ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisions.
Budgeting & Forecasting
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
Monitor performance against budgets and investigate variances.
Develop cost and production models.
Support business planning through financial modelling and scenario analysis.
Business Partnering
Work alongside managers to help them understand financial performance.
Present financial insights at site meetings.
Support business case preparation and decision-making.
Partner with commercial teams to support receivables management.
Finance & Process Improvement
Contribute to finance process improvements and system enhancements.
Support financial controls, payment reviews and fixed asset verification.
Provide assistance with finance activities as required.
About You
We're looking for someone who is curious, collaborative and keen to develop their commercial finance skills.
You may have:
Experience in a finance, management accounting or commercial accounting role.
CPA or CA qualification (or currently studying towards one).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
Experience with ERP or accounting systems (SAP experience is advantageous but not essential).
The ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues.
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
Experience within manufacturing is helpful but not essential.
