About Us:
Wavertree Farms is a vertically integrated farming operation that grows, packs and distributes fresh vegetables daily to multiple customers. Wavertree Farm consists of multiple farming operations, along with production and dispatch facilities. These operations are to work together as a team to provide fresh, high quality produce in a timely manner to their customers.
The Position:
Truck Drivers are responsible for the accurate delivery of orders to each DC within the delivery schedules and time frames. All drivers must undertake each run lawfully, efficiently and have the correct license to drive the class vehicle being driven. Each license must be legally valid. Not out of date or suspended.
All truck drivers will work under the instruction of Shed Manager and Site Manager. Feedback is very much encouraged to the Site Manager. In the absence of the Shed and Site Manager, the truck driver may liaise with the National Production Manager if required.
The following is meant to be a guide only and in no way precludes the person filling this position from being asked to perform other duties.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Arrive to work on time, as stated on your roster, not prior. The only exception to this if the Receivals Manager or Production Manager has advised you to come in earlier.
- Arrive at each destination within the scheduled delivery times.
- Ensure all paperwork is distributed correctly to customers.
- If there is an issue with stock at the market pick-up, you are expected to call the relevant Supply Manager. Their phone numbers are on the paperwork and it is advised that you save them in your contact list.
- Ensure you take a 30-minute meal break after 3.5 hours of work. Where reasonable and practical, this break should be taken at a time that coincides with your job as a truck driver.
- Obey all traffic laws in your designated jurisdiction and be courteous towards all drivers.
- Do not text or use your phone while driving.
- Monitor fuel, tyre pressure and fluid levels. Report any damaged or broken parts immediately.
- Always lock the vehicle when it is parked or unattended.
- Please note as an allocated driver, you are responsible for all speeding fines and traffic infringements.
Pay: $28.99 – $31.43 per hour
