Job Description
Our ANZ business offers a comprehensive portfolio of multidisciplinary engineering services, with our structural engineers playing a key role in the delivery of major infrastructure projects. We are involved in a diverse range of bridge and civil structures projects across rail, highways, transportation and water sectors, helping to shape communities across Australia and New Zealand.
We are looking for a Structural Engineering Intern to join our Newcastle team.
How you'll make a difference:

Support the structural team in the design and analysis of bridges and civil structures under the guidance of experienced engineers.

Assist with engineering calculations, technical documentation and the preparation of project deliverables.

Participate in site visits and inspections to gain exposure to the assessment and maintenance of existing structures.

Contribute to projects at various stages of delivery while developing an understanding of engineering standards, design processes and industry best practices.

Collaborate with engineers and other disciplines to help deliver innovative and sustainable infrastructure solutions.

Build practical skills and industry knowledge through hands-on project experience and mentoring from experienced professionals.

Qualifications

Summer Intern attributes: Interns who are curious and excited to apply their studies in a professional environment. You'll bring strong communication and teamwork skills, a positive and proactive attitude, adaptability, and a commitment to professionalism and integrity.

Bachelor’s Degree: You must be in your penultimate year of a Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.

Commencement: Able to work full time hours from 16 November 2026 – 19 February 2027.

Working Rights: You must have full working rights to work in Australia or New Zealand before applying. We do accept candidates with student and graduate visas.
