Care To Heal is a registered NDIS provider delivering person-centred disability and allied health services. We are seeking an experienced HR & Payroll Officer to support our growing workforce from our Narre Warren office.
About the Role
This is a hands-on position responsible for payroll administration, HR advisory support, employee onboarding and offboarding, and ensuring compliance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award (SCHADS Award).
Key Responsibilities
- Process accurate and timely payroll
- Interpret and apply the SCHADS Award, including allowances, penalties, overtime, sleepovers and broken shifts
- Review timesheets, rosters, leave and payroll adjustments
- Maintain employee payroll and HR records
- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding
- Prepare employment contracts, variation letters and HR correspondence
- Provide practical HR advice to managers and employees
- Support performance management and employee relations matters
- Monitor compliance with employment legislation, policies and internal procedures
- Manage superannuation, payroll deductions and leave entitlements
- Assist with payroll reconciliations, reporting and employee enquiries
- Maintain confidentiality and accurate documentation
About You
The successful applicant will have:
- Demonstrated experience in payroll and human resources
- Strong working knowledge of the SCHADS Award
- Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation and payroll requirements
- Experience managing employee onboarding and offboarding
- Confidence providing HR advice to managers and employees
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet payroll deadlines
- Experience in the disability, community services, healthcare or NDIS sector is highly regarded
- Experience using Xero and Employment Hero is desirable
