Job Overview

Party Planner

We are looking for a creative, organised, and detail-oriented Party Planner to plan and coordinate memorable social events. The Party Planner will work closely with clients to understand their vision, budget, and requirements, then manage the planning process from concept to completion.

Responsibilities

Meet with clients to discuss event goals, theme, guest count, budget, and preferences.
Plan and coordinate parties, including birthdays, private celebrations, baby showers, and special events.
Source and liaise with venues, caterers, entertainers, decorators, and other vendors.
Develop event timelines, floor plans, and run sheets.
Manage invitations, RSVPs, guest communications, and event logistics.
Oversee event setup, styling, and breakdown on the day.
Monitor budgets, negotiate supplier pricing, and keep costs within approved limits.
Resolve issues quickly and professionally before and during events.
Ensure all event details are delivered to a high standard and meet client expectations.
Stay up to date with event trends, themes, and suppliers.

Requirements

Proven experience in party planning, event coordination, hospitality, or a related role.
Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple events at once.
Confidence dealing with clients, vendors, and venue staff.
Ability to work under pressure and solve problems quickly.
Experience with budgeting and contract negotiation is an advantage.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.

Preferred Skills

Creative flair for themes, styling, and event design.
Familiarity with local Brisbane venues and suppliers.
Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
Competence using event planning software, spreadsheets, or CRM systems.

Pay: $100.00 – $150.00 per hour
