About the Hotel - W Melbourne

Located on Ground Level, Lollo is our Italian Restaurant responsible for serving our remixed luxury buffet breakfast, along with a la carte lunch and dinner. We service our in-house W guests and the local corporate and Melbourne CBD community.

What We Expect of You
- A passion to cook and a desire to innovate in the restaurant kitchen.
- Background in high-end restaurant or bar kitchen is advantageous.
- A proactive and upbeat demeanor that inspires excellence.
- Keen to take on new challenges and grow within your career.
- Qualifications in Commercial Cookery III and IV or equivalent are preferred.
- Valid Australian Working Rights is essential for your role.
- Embody a polished professionalism with an audacious approach to creativity; and a playful individual who is passionate in creating memorable guest experiences.
A Glance at What You Will Do
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.
- Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables. Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients.
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist.
- Prepare cold foods. Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
- Monitor food quality while preparing food.
- Set-up and break down work station. Serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles.
- Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
- Learn and apply new techniques under the mentorship of senior chefs
