About Us

Volcan Joinery is a well-established, steadily growing Melbourne joinery company specialising in premium custom cabinetry and fit-outs. We partner with residential and commercial clients and are trusted on a range of large, ongoing projects. Our craftsmanship, reliability and service have built a strong base of repeat clients and a consistent pipeline of work.

The Role

We’re seeking a Junior Joinery Estimator to grow with our team. You’ll support pricing and tendering across kitchens, wardrobes and commercial fit-outs while working closely with design and project teams.

What you’ll do

Prepare take-offs, cost estimates, quotations and tender submissions.
Read and interpret architectural drawings, plans, and specifications.
Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to obtain pricing and project details.
Meet regularly with our in-house design team to align on scope and progress.
Support senior estimators and project managers with day-to-day estimating tasks.
Maintain project documentation and ensure accuracy of costing records.

What you’ll bring

Bilingual (English and Chinese) preferred.
Valid work rights in Australia.
Previous experience in estimating, joinery, cabinet making, or construction is highly regarded.
High attention to detail and solid numerical ability.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with estimating software is a plus.
