CNC Programmer / Operator – Full-Time

Company: Unasco Pty Limited (“Unasco”)

Location: Girraween NSW, Australia
Salary: $75,000 – $95,000 per annum + superannuation (commensurate with experience)
Position Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Minimum 38 hours per week

About the Role

Unasco is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role involves programming, setting, and operating CNC machinery to produce high-precision components in line with engineering specifications and quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities :

Programming CNC machines using G-code and/or CAD/CAM software
Setting up and operating CNC lathes, milling machines, and machining centres
Interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
Selecting appropriate tooling, cutting parameters, and materials
Producing precision components to required tolerances
Conducting quality inspections using measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
Troubleshooting machining issues and making program or setup adjustments
Performing routine maintenance of machines and equipment
Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety procedures

Skills and Qualifications

AQF Certificate III or higher in Engineering (Mechanical / Metal Machining) OR
At least 3 years of relevant full-time experience as a CNC Programmer/Operator or Metal Machinist
Strong knowledge of CNC programming (G-code) and machining processes
Experience with CAD/CAM software (desirable)
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
University degree in mechanical engineering

Essential Requirements

Ability to work independently and in a team
Reliable and safety-focused work ethic
