At Elmhaven Aged Care in Streaky Bay, every resident has a story - and the care they receive shapes how that story continues. SA Health's Eyre and Far North Local Health Network is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to step into the Associate Nurse Unit Manager role and help lead a close-knit team committed to dignified, person-centred aged care on South Australia's stunning Eyre Peninsula.
What You'll Be Leading
Working alongside the Nurse Unit Manager, you'll provide clinical leadership across the Elmhaven Hostel, supporting your team and advocating for residents' wellbeing every day. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering and overseeing proficient, person-centred clinical nursing care and individual case management
- Monitoring and evaluating resident care plans to achieve consistent, optimal outcomes
- Guiding and supervising enrolled nurses, student nurses, and less experienced registered nurses
- Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to enhance resident experiences and care quality
What You'll Bring
- Current registration (or eligibility for registration) as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, including a current practising certificate
- A minimum of three years post-registration experience, or current classification as a Clinical Nurse
- Demonstrated experience supervising and supporting nursing staff in a clinical setting
- Sound understanding of aged care standards and person-centred care principles within an SA Health or similar public health environment
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to contribute to clinical decision-making
- Commitment to continuous quality improvement in resident care outcomes
