About the role
Our Children's Services team is seeking Casual Educators to support the delivery of a range of programs, including Family Day Care, Out of School Hours (OOSH) care, and Playgroups. These positions involve working across various locations within the Shire, including OOSH centres in Batemans Bay, Moruya, and Narooma.
Our engagements for OOSH Educators run during school terms as well as holiday periods, offering flexibility and the chance to contribute across various times and programs throughout the year.
You will be engaging school aged children in a range of planned and child-initiated activities (physically active games, walking excursions, arts and crafts, puzzles, board games, stories and music) and ensuring that children are safe at all times.

The starting salary for this position is $42.44 per hour plus 12% superannuation.

Screening process
Pre‑employment Checks:
As part of our recruitment process, you may be asked to provide contact details for two work‑related referees. These will be collected at the interview stage. At least one referee should be your current supervisor or a recent past supervisor (of at least three months).
Depending on the position, successful applicants may also be required to complete a Criminal History Check, Medical Assessment and/or a Working with Children Check.
