About the role
We seek an Enthusiastic, Versatile, Committed and Qualified Fitter/Machinist with proven experience.
Must have experience in metal CNC, programming, setting, machining, finishing.
The successful candidate will be expected to be able to do all 4 processes
Skills and experience
- Qualified fitter & turner
- Must have both Manual and CNC machining experience – ie: Mills & Lathes
- The job requires you to be able to program, set and operate metal CNC equipment
- CAD/CAM experience is a must
- Any experience in: Mazatrol, Heidenhain, Okuma, Fanuc, Mastercam, Solidworks
- Understanding of Technical engineering drawings
- 5-axis machining experience is a bonus but not essential
- If you have welding and fabrication experience, this is an added benefit
- Tool-making ability is an advantage
- Mechanical aptitude
- Not afraid to get hands dirty
- Ability to be flexible and handle multiple tasks
- Ability to interact with other team members at all levels
- Ability to work in a high paced environment
- Be a generator of ideas and ability to think outside the square
- Use of overhead cranes and forklifts is part of the job
- Must be physically fit
- Defence Force experience is desirable
Essential to your success is a motivated attitude and ability to organise your daily tasks and work with minimum supervision.
