Administration Officer (Emerald) – Making Early Years Count

BUSHkids is a not-for-profit organisation that has been at the heart of transforming lives of regional children across Queensland for 90 years. Our highly dedicated teams and volunteers are all driven by a shared vision that all children should have access to free allied health services regardless of where they live.

As the Administration Officer at BUSHkids Emerald, you will play a key role in supporting our Allied Health services, which provide early intervention and support for children aged 0 to 13 years and their families, parents and caregivers. You will also support our Early Childhood Approach (NDIS Partner in the Community) services, assisting children up to 6 years with developmental delay/concern as well as children up to 9 years with disability, and their families across the region.

As the first point of contact for our Emerald service, you will create a warm and welcoming experience for families while managing reception and phone enquiries, emails, client records and referrals. You will coordinate appointments and therapy resources, support outreach activities, prepare agendas and meeting minutes, and provide general administrative support. Working collaboratively with the regional administration team, you will identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and service delivery, while also providing remote support across our administration team to support the delivery of high-quality service.

Attractive base salary $74,857 base plus superannuation and portable long service leave
Additional NFP Salary packaging benefits of up to $18,550 annually, increasing take-home pay by up to $5,935 with additional regional and locality allowances on offer for our Emerald staff
Annual Professional Development budget available for all BUSHkids employees
Up to 5 days Professional Development Leave plus 2 days PD Travel Leave (pro-rata part-time)
Additional 3 gifted paid leave days over Christmas (pro-rata part-time)

About You

Previous experience in a senior administrative role, ideally within a highly regulated service environment would be highly desirable
Flexible and adaptable nature who brings warmth and a positive energy
Strong administration and organisational skills with a high attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Highly professional approach, with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
Proactive team player with a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement
Alignment with BUSHkids core values – Child-Focused and Family Centred, Collaborative and Accountable
Valid Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or ability to obtain before commencement)
Current C Class Drivers’ Licence
Evidence of Hepatitis B vaccination status
