Join the culinary team at Perth’s most anticipated luxury hotel, where excellence meets elegance. We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to be a key part of our kitchen at the world renowned hotel in Perth, a world-class hotel known for its exquisite dining experiences.

Job Description:

As a Sous Chef, you will be the second-in-command in our state-of-the-art kitchen, following the guidelines and standards set by our esteemed management. Your culinary expertise and leadership skills will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the satisfaction of our discerning guests.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and design of all food and drink menus, ensuring they meet the highest quality standards.
Produce visually stunning and delicious plates that reflect our commitment to luxury dining.
Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently and in a timely manner, meeting our stringent quality standards.
Conduct research and develop seasonal menus, complete with food costing proposals for stakeholders.
Address and resolve any issues that arise, taking control of challenging situations with poise.
Manage, train, and assess kitchen staff, establishing schedules and maintaining high performance standards.
Oversee inventory management, ordering supplies as needed, and ensuring effective food cost management.
Enforce and comply with all sanitation regulations and safety standards.
Maintain a positive and professional relationship with coworkers and guests alike.
Conduct training in various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
Utilize various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS) to optimize kitchen processes.
Enforce strict health and hygiene standards, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
Collaborate with colleagues to prepare and finalize menus.
Ensure the adequacy of supplies at all cooking stations, always keeping essential ingredients readily available.
Contribute to the creation of marketing content in collaboration with the marketing department.
