The Opportunity

Rochedale Gardens Retirement Living offers relaxed retirement living in a serene, leafy setting just 18km from Brisbane’s CBD. Direct access to local shopping, nearby parks and excellent transport links makes day-to-day living easy. As a highly motivated Cook working with our team at Rochedale Gardens Retirement Living, you will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment to prepare and deliver high-quality meals to our residents. You'll be a great communicator, enjoy being hands-on with kitchen preparation and enjoy supporting residents' well-being.
The residents are the heart of everything we do and the reason we come to work every day, their happiness is key to a successful overall operation, and we are looking for someone who values this as much as we do.

This is a Part Time position working Saturday and Sundays 6:30am-2:30pm

Saturdays ($43.44p/h) and Sundays ($50.68p/h) + relevant award entitlements including penalty rates, overtime and allowances + superannuation

The opportunity to pick up shifts at neighbouring communities

You Will

Provide restaurant-style kitchen and dining service
Assist in the daily kitchen preparation and serving of meals
Ensuring daily quality meal service to residents and visitors of the surrounding Aveo Community
Daily monitoring of food safety plans and following all Food Services procedures

What you'll bring

Knowledge and/or experience in catering/kitchen/hospitality settings (e.g experience in food preparation)
Food Safety Certificate OR Certificate III in Commerical Cookery (desirable)
A friendly and warm persona with a passion for food and chatting with residents!
Current Police check (required, but we can complete for you!)
Minimum of two (2) COVID-19 Vaccinations (required)
