Ingleburn OR Braemar NSW | Permanent Part-time | 3 days per week (Mondays required) | $34 per hour + super
Bigweld is a growing, family-owned and independent industrial gas and welding supply business with locations in Ingleburn and Braemar, NSW.
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Officer/Bookkeeper to join our team in a permanent part-time position working 24 hours across 3 days per week.
Mondays are required, with the other two working days to be agreed with the successful candidate. Normal working hours are between 8:00am and 4:30pm.
The successful candidate can be based primarily from either our Ingleburn or Braemar office, depending on which location is more convenient.
This is a hands-on accounts role suited to someone who is organised, dependable, has strong attention to detail and is comfortable working across the day-to-day financial administration of a small business.
About the role
Working closely with management and our office team, you will be responsible for a range of bookkeeping, accounts and general administrative duties.
This is a fully office-based position and would suit someone looking for stable part-time hours and long-term employment within a growing family business.
Key responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable, including customer invoicing and entering supplier bills
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping and financial records using our accounting system
- Follow up outstanding customer accounts where required
- Process and reconcile day-to-day banking transactions
- Process weekly payroll and superannuation
- Assist with month-end financial reporting and BAS preparation
- Provide general office and administrative support as required, including filing, order processing and responding to customer enquiries
About you
- Minimum 2 years' experience in an accounts, bookkeeping or similar finance administration role
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliations
- Previous payroll experience highly regarded
- Experience using Reckon Accounts Hosted, QuickBooks, Xero, MYOB or similar accounting software
- Computer literate and confident using Google Workspace
- Excellent organisation skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work effectively as part of a small team
Experience with Reckon Accounts Hosted is highly regarded but not essential. Candidates with experience using other accounting systems who are willing to learn Reckon are encouraged to apply.
