For new graduate midwives applying- to be eligible to apply for the for this position at Liverpool Hospital, applicants must:

Be completing their Midstart program Graduate Diploma of Midwifery.
Be eligible for registration as a Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia prior to the agreed date for the commencement of employment
Current student midwives seeking new graduate midwifery positions will be required to attend 5 transitional midwifery education days as a mandatory component of their transition to practice program.
The Program will offer four rotations including Birthing Unit, Antenatal Clinic, Postnatal, Antenatal & Gynaecology and Day Assessment Unit. Possible rotations include: Midwifery Support Program, Fetal Medicine Unit, EPAS and NICU.

Confident in providing support, care and evidence‑based advice throughout pregnancy, labour, birth and the postpartum period.
Skilled in conducting births independently, ensuring safe, respectful and woman‑centred care.
Competent in caring for newborns and infants, with a strong understanding of early postnatal needs.
Adaptable and comfortable rotating through multiple clinical areas, including the Birthing Unit, Postnatal/Antenatal Ward, Special Care Nursery and Antenatal Clinic. •Collaborative and compassionate, able to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams while advocating for women’s choices and wellbeing. •Dedicated to maintaining high standards of clinical practice, continuous learning and professional growth.
