Forrest Rd Fresh is a community-focused independent fresh food retailer located in Armadale, Western Australia. The store offers a wide range of quality fresh produce, everyday groceries, gourmet butcher products, continental delicatessen items, Dutch and New Zealand specialty foods, and convenient takeaway options. Serving local families and businesses seven days a week, Forrest Rd Fresh is committed to delivering high-quality produce, supporting local suppliers, and providing friendly and efficient customer service.

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to oversee the daily operations of our supermarket. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth store operations, maintaining high presentation standards, and delivering excellent customer service while supporting business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day running of the supermarket, ensuring all departments operate efficiently and meet business standards
Coordinate staff rostering, supervision, and performance management to maintain productivity and service quality
Monitor stock levels across all product categories and organise timely ordering to ensure product availability
Maintain high standards of store presentation, cleanliness, and visual merchandising to enhance customer experience
Liaise with suppliers, including local producers, to ensure consistent supply of fresh and quality products
Handle customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and timely manner
Analyse sales performance and implement strategies to improve revenue and reduce wastage
Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and company policies
Manage pricing, promotions, and in-store displays to maximise sales opportunities
Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff members

Essential Requirements:

Proven experience in retail management, preferably within a supermarket or grocery environment
Strong leadership and team management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Sound understanding of inventory control and retail operations
Knowledge of workplace health and safety standards
