Position Overview
The Bartender is responsible for delivering exceptional beverage service, crafting high-quality cocktails, and ensuring a premium guest experience at CU29’s bar. This role requires strong product knowledge, attention to detail, and a passion for creating memorable moments for guests in a refined hospitality setting.
Key Responsibilities
Beverage Preparation & Service
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to CU29’s quality standards.
Create cocktails, mocktails, and specialty drinks according to recipes or guest preferences.
Provide informed recommendations on wine, beer, and spirits, including pairing suggestions.
Ensure drinks are presented with consistent quality, style, and accuracy.
Customer Engagement
Greet and interact with guests at the bar in a professional, engaging manner.
Anticipate guest needs and offer prompt, attentive service.
Handle guest feedback or concerns politely, escalating when necessary.
Bar Operations & Cleanliness
Maintain bar cleanliness, organization, and readiness at all times.
Monitor and replenish stock levels during service.
Set up and close down the bar in accordance with CU29’s procedures.
Compliance & Safety
Adhere to Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) requirements and WA liquor licensing laws.
Follow all workplace health & safety and hygiene procedures.
Report any incidents, hazards, or maintenance issues promptly to management.
Team Collaboration
Work closely with bar, floor, and kitchen teams to ensure smooth service flow.
Support colleagues during peak service periods.
Assist with training and mentoring junior bar staff when required.

Qualifications & Experience
A minimum of two years experience as a bartender in a premium hospitality setting, preferably in a premium or fine dining environment and in a high volume/marked–up venue.
Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification (required).
Knowledge of wine, spirits, beer, and cocktail trends.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
