As our business continues to grow, we are looking for motivated and hands-on Metal Fabricators to join our team in Cleveland.
Job summary:
The Metal Fabricator is responsible for fabricating, assembling, modifying, and repairing metal components and structures in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and production requirements. The role involves preparing metal materials, cutting, shaping, welding, assembling, finishing, and inspecting fabricated products to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with workplace safety standards.
The position requires practical skills in metal fabrication, welding processes, interpretation of technical drawings, and the safe operation of fabrication equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, work instructions, and specifications to determine job requirements.
- Measure, mark, cut, shape, and prepare metal materials including steel, aluminium, and other fabricated components.
- Select appropriate materials, tools, and fabrication methods for each job.
- Fabricate metal components and assemblies using hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery.
- Assemble fabricated components using welding, bolting, fastening, and mechanical joining techniques.
- Ensure fabricated products meet dimensional accuracy and quality requirements.
- Perform welding operations using appropriate welding techniques
- Set up welding equipment and select suitable welding parameters based on material type and thickness.
- Align and position components prior to welding.
- Inspect welds for quality, penetration, appearance, and structural integrity.
- Carry out welding repairs, modifications, and rework where required.
- Operate fabrication equipment such as cutting saws, grinders, drills and other metal processing equipment
- Cut metal sections and shapes according to drawings and measurements.
- Shape and modify metal components using mechanical methods and controlled heating where required.
- Grind, clean, dress, and finish fabricated components.
- Check finished products against drawings, measurements, and customer specifications.
- Identify fabrication defects and complete corrective work.
- Maintain quality standards throughout the fabrication process.
Qualification & Skills
- Trade qualification in Metal Fabrication or equivalent qualification
- 3+ years of experience in metal fabrication within a workshop/manufacturing environment
- Forklift license is an advantage
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication plans.
- Experience with metal cutting, grinding, welding, and assembly processes.
- Ability to measure and mark metal accurately.
- Experience using hand tools and workshop machinery.
- Understanding of welding processes and fabrication techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.

Pay: $79,500.00 – $85,000.00 per year
