As a Senior Carpenter at Everything Outside, you will be responsible for constructing high-quality playground structures that bring outdoor spaces to life.
Based in South East Queensland, this full-time role will see you working as part of an on-site team to build bespoke and exciting school playgrounds.
What you'll be doing
Under the instruction of an Operations Manager and Foreman, you will prepare sites for playground construction, including setting out, measuring, and ensuring structural accuracy.
Working within a team, you will construct playground elements such as timber structures, decks, bridges, climbing features, and other bespoke carpentry components.
You will read and interpret plans, cut and assemble materials, and ensure all builds meet safety and quality standards.
You will work towards construction deadlines and maintain a safety-first approach to all tasks.
What we're looking for
At least five year's experience in carpentry or construction
Proficient in the use of hand and power tools relevant to carpentry
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans
An enthusiastic and proactive team member who is solutions focused
Strong understanding of construction techniques and structural principles
Ability to commute to sites and stay away from home for regional projects
A valid driver's licence and access to reliable transportation
A LR (low rigid) licence is preferred but not essential
Must have a Blue Card (working with children check) or be willing to apply for one
Must be eligible to work in Australia
Certificate III in Carpentry (or equivalent) is preferred
